I firmly believe that every person in the world has been created uniquely beautiful by a wonderful God. No, we’re not all Hollywood icons. No, we don’t all fit the idealized version of beautiful that the magazines portray. Yeah, eyes might be too small and nose might be too big and weight might be a little over perfect.
But.
You. Are. Beautiful.
How do I know that? Because God made you and He made you in His image. And, therefore, you’re absolutely perfect the way you are.
A couple years ago, I didn’t believe that about myself. I could’ve listed my flaws far more quickly than I could’ve listed my merits. In fact, I probably couldn’t have listed any beautiful attributes. But thankfully, God is bigger than my perceived flaws and has gradually taught my hard heart that He has created me to be His daughter…a daughter of the King…a princess. And I’m beautiful.
See, while my theory is that every single person is beautiful, it doesn’t do anyone any good unless someone sees that beauty and then lets you see it, too! That’s my job: showing you that you’re beautiful and that God made you that way and that He loves you just the way you are.
