Frog Day at Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve
We went to learn about frogs. All about frogs. We learned that frogs suck their eyeballs into their heads to help the digestion process (say what?!). We learned how FAR a frog’s tongue can shoot out of its mouth to capture its prey. We learned how to tell the difference between a frog and a toad. We learned how much a group of 7 – 10 year olds can learn and retain in a short amount of time.
But we also learned how to walk like a heron, how to spot tiny objects in the woods, how to find a slightering snake near the water, and how a hail pellet looks under a magnifying glass.
Maria is tickled pink to be on your blog 😀
she says “That was SO fun!!” and frogs are so interesting. I have learned a lot from Maria 🙂
