I stood along the railing, wedged in between the other tourists from all corners of the globe. We stood facing the same direction, of course, bonded by our mutual admiration for the scene towering above us. The European had the same admiration as the American as the African as the Asian. Diverse in journeys, varied in stories, but mesmerized by the same sight. The world shrinks as the airplane bounces from continent to continent, bonding unique individuals in the shared adventure of new experiences.
