I went to Tucson
I am a stereotype in the making and I’m okay with it. I escaped the rain and gray of British Columbia by going to Arizona in January and I am so ridiculously grateful for the privilege.
With several of my college chums in Arizona and both siblings in Tucson, I think I need to invest in real estate down there. Any recommendations? 😉
I didn’t expect to be able to do much hiking (my goals were sunshine, niece cuddles, seeing friends, and watching The Greatest Showman) but I ended up on three different hiking expeditions! Combining friend time with sunshine? Perfection.

Possibly my favorite photo from the trip: my niece taunting the cat.
For the record: I do own other hiking clothes. But apparently I only hike in this outfit when in Arizona.
(Yes, my brother-in-law did climb that rock face. And, yes, I was poised to call 9-1-1 if necessary.)

Guess who started walking while I was in town?!?!

Highlight: my Aunt & Uncle drove in from San Diego to visit with the wild crew. We totally took over the Panera and apologized to the other customers as we left. 😉

Noteable in this photo: Jacob asked if I knew I had gray hair. I asked if he knew his beard is gray.

High-five with a great-uncle over breakfast. IS THERE ANYTHING CUTER?!
