Beach Family Portraits
Beach Family Photos are idyllic. Or, at the very least, they look idyllic. The glowing sunset, the happy laughter, the cute-in-love parentals, the frolicking, the giggling.
Memories, preserved.

Real Life doesn’t usually involve meandering walks on the beach or playful moments of family unity at all the right times. Real Life isn’t always rose-gold and idyllic. In reality, beach family portraits tend to be the opposite of idyllic.
In the photos, you don’t see the giant mosquitoes, the over-tired toddler, the sweat dripping down everyone’s back. You don’t see the three bathroom breaks required to make it through one hour of photos or the caterwauling car ride, with adults desperately trying to make decisions on a under-navigated country road while the kids begged for a different song, a new toy, a fresh snack.

A family portrait isn’t just a smile-at-the-camera-because-we-all-feel-happy moment. Instead, its snuggling into Mom while discovering Spanish Moss on the old oak tree. A family portrait is sometimes standing in a line, but other times its the squeal of glee when Daddy swings you over his shoulder.

Basically, real life isn’t always perfectly perfect. But Real Life is always perfectly memorable. And the memories? That’s what makes it perfect.
