“But Weeeees!” She squealed, a humored blend of irritation and laughter. “I can’t stop laughing! Quit with the compliments!”
He had been pouring them on, lavishly heaping her with all the compliments she deserved. Oh yes, she deserved them. Between the perfectly styled hair, the elegantly flowing white gown, and the sparkle of gladness in her eyes, Christina was not only beautiful, she was gorgeous.
And Wes made sure to tell her so. A lot.
“Okay, fine.” The somber tone contrasted with the twinkle of humor, teasing her. “I have never seen you look as awful as you do right now, in this moment. Its so awful, I just can’t stand it.”
He could only keep a straight face for a fraction of an instant. Then he laughed, too. Christina knew he was teasing her and laughed along, simply glad to be standing by her groom’s side, embracing the moment they shared and all the joy it proposed.
Yesterday was their wedding day, and I was under strict orders to not show off these two until November 3. It’s November 3. And I’m showing them off.
