Clayburn Village Wedding
Walking into the Clayburn Village Schoolhouse is a journey back a few decades into a quieter time, a simpler life. The walls of windows open to a grove of trees, object of many a daydreaming schoolchild, and leave a well-lit open space perfect for a Clayburn Village wedding ceremony or reception.
Nestled in the historic Clayburn Village corner of Abbotsford at the base of Sumas Mountain, the schoolhouse and chapel are ideal for intimate weddings. The School & Chapel are especially perfect for the vintage-loving or history-buffs among us. A blank space, it’s beautiful even without extensive decor. The hundred years of stories only adds to its charm. (Walking up the stairs into the schoolhouse, I can only imagine the tales those steps could tell: children squealing out of class for summer vacation, best friends sharing secrets during recess, couples floating in to be introduced as Mr. and Mrs. for the first time.)
With ample parking and a full kitchen, a Clayburn Village wedding is a practical venue as well as a gloriously beautiful one!
A perfect dream team, this Clayburn Village wedding inspiration shoot came to life with Fraser Valley wedding vendors who took a vision and transformed it to reality.
Natasha was a dream in white, thanks in part to the vision of a dress from House of Vienna and the makeup artistry of Meghan van Leeuwen. (Her smile lights up a room, though, so makeup and outfit don’t get all the credit!)
The bridal bouquet was stunning and matched so perfectly the floral crown. If I had a green thumb, I would plant all these flower varieties in my backyard and wear a flower crown every single day.
With thanks to these talented vendors, the Clayburn Village wedding was fabulous.
