Chloe & Christian’s Point Roberts Wedding

Chloe & Christian’s Point Roberts Wedding is the perfect example of a wedding day done well. Chloe chose the location because of a lifetime of fond memories of summering at that corner of ocean-view paradise.  Chloe chose the bridesmaids because of a lifetime of happy memories growing up with these girls. Chloe chose her dress because, well, it’s gorgeous (and wait until you see the top hat!).  Chloe chose to walk to her wedding-on-the-bluff with her girlfriends because of the larks they’d have running down from the cottage to the beach together, over the years. Chloe chose a Point Roberts wedding because there was really no other choice.

While the girls sipped mimosas three doors up the street, the boys lounged with their own ocean view and prepared to walk down the aisle.

Chloe’s embroidered, floral heels were only one of her three pairs of shoes for the day — now that’s my kinda bride!

While we watched Chloe & Christian exchange vows and celebrate their love, the ocean waves lapped the shore behind them, an eagle watched warily from the tree, and the neighbors sat on inflatables in their yards to celebrate with them.

Friends since tenth grade, one of my favorite parts of the wedding day was realizing how much life they’ve celebrated since they studied at the same high school and definitely weren’t interested in each other. 😉

And those flowers! Oh, all the flowers!   Point Roberts Wedding

Another highlight of the day was Chloe’s dress. Ohmyword, Chloe’s dress!  The overlay moved so gracefully in the ocean breeze while the lace underlay was sublimely perfect.     We practically had the beach to ourselves! Even if we hadn’t, though, these two would never have known. So wrapped in their joyful today.         Twirl, girls, twirl!  You’re so beautiful…and you show off your dresses perfectly!

The staff at the Compass Rose did an top-notch job! In addition to the perfect location (can you say ocean front?!), the food was sublime and the service was exceptional!

In a room full of their nearest and dearest, Chloe & Christian were toasted (and maybe a teeny bit roasted!) as friends came from far and wide (I think the farthest was England?) to celebrate their marriage.  They laughed, they cried, they ate, they laughed again.

Pssst. See those geometric beauties?!  Handmade with love by none other than the father-of-the-bride!

I am eternally grateful that Chloe & Christian let me pull them away from their guests for seven minutes in front of the sunset.  Hot diggity dog, it was perfect! The hat, the sprinkler system, the sun … magic, I say! Magic!
