Wedding at The Falls Chilliwack

Ever since I sipped a latte in Langley (like my alliteration!?) with Clarance & Amber, I’ve been infatuated with counting down to the charm of their Wedding at the Falls Chilliwack and the celebration of these two. Maybe it was the way Clarence decorated a horse barn with twinkle lights and hay bales to propose? Or maybe it was the way Amber shone as she praised Clarence’s wedding planning skills? Or maybe it was just the way they love just being together and really, ridiculously, absolutely know how to laugh together.  Either way, the countdown has been strong. Then we met for engagement photos and I got to see (again!) their joy and love for one another, hear how God has continued to lead them through this wedding planning season, and relish in the final month of engagement.

Amber & Clarance, you have weaseled you way into my heart with your sassy, rockin’, fabulous selves and I am so excited to deliver your wedding preview faster than any other wedding this year.

[drumroll please]

Would you take a peek at that greenery wall that, as legend has it, was handmade with love just for this wedding day?!

And the dusty blue that is just absolute perfection against the blush roses and white accents?

And the florals!!! Oh, the florals. What a dream.

The Falls Golf Golf Course prides itself on being B.C.’s best kept secret, and I think every bride should start their venue search here. Aside from having a stunning view (check it!), the staff at the Falls is top shelf — dare I say some of the best in the Valley? — and the day executed seamlessly, despite highway delays that kept some guests stuck in traffic and adjusted the timeline.

Amber & Clarance started their Chilliwack wedding day her grandparents’ home surrounded by family and love and an enthusiastic playlist. 😉 While the girls primped and beautified upstairs, the boys were downstairs playing pool and foosball and waiting until the last possible minute to put on their tuxes.

Obviously, Amber is naturally gorgeous but the team at Muse Beauty and Blooming Beauty made sure she looked her best.

Amber and Clarance chose a non-look first look to start their wedding day and I may or may not have had a blurry look through my viewfinder at the beautiful sweetness of this moment.

ISNT SHE BEAUTIFUL?!

(Also: that’s the bridal waiting room at The Falls Golf Course and it’s officially my favorite bridal room ever.)

As much as I will rave about these two and their wedding day, the highlight for me was their ceremony and – most specifically – the vows they wrote for one another.  A wedding day is great and all, but the real gem – the true meaning – is the marriage it solders and the lifetime of together that follows. Putting intention into their wedding ceremony (including communion right after it was all official), they not only promised to honor and respect each other as life-long partners in the service of God, they also threw a little humor into the mix.

Clarance promised to catch and release all spiders (and was tested later in the day as insects galore entangled themselves in Amber’s tulle!) and to find Amber’s cell phone even if it’s in her back pocket.

Amber promised to be Clarance’s personal laundry maid and sous chef and, yes, to always help find Clarance’s wallet (even if it’s also safely hidden in a back pocket!).

In addition to the humor, the depth of their love for one another was powerful.

A bubble exit is ALWAYS a good idea!

Van Simone Floral knocked it out of the park with the stunning decor! Plus, that doorway arch and I will always be BFFs.

While guests played lawn games, the bridal party made a duckling train of golf carts and were marshaled out to hidden gems nestled around The Falls.

Scenic views are just one of the reasons to choose a wedding at The Falls.

Check out all that trickling water flowing down the cliff!

My second most favorite moment of the day happened during the first dance. Clarance and Amber chose Lauren Daigle’s “Love Like This” as their song and as they danced, Amber reached up and wiped away a tear for Clarance. I wiped one away, too.

When I am a long night
You are the sunrise
When I am a desert
You are the river that turns
To find me
What have I done to deserve love like this?
What have I done to deserve love like this?

And then? These guys KNEW HOW TO PARTY!
