Aldergrove Regional Park Wedding

As much as I subscribe to the theory that “choosing a favourite client is as pointless as choosing a favourite child,” this backyard wedding ceremony with Aldergrove Regional Park wedding photos admittedly holds a very special place in my heart. So I won’t come out and say “it’s my favourite”, but I will admit that this bride is an incredible treasure and being able to photograph her wedding was an immense honor.

Photographing for friends is the worst kind of pressure and the best kind of fun, and that proved very true with this celebration. I’m not sure I’ve ever cried during a first look, but I definitely did for Karen and Zach. I don’t think I’ve ever loved a wedding dress sleeve as much as I adored Karen’s sleeve choice. And – icing on the cake – Karen invited my toddler and husband to join us for the reception and ohmygoodness introducing my girl to the concept of a wedding was simply magical.

Karen and Zach chose to have Aldergrove Regional Park wedding photos before their backyard ceremony and reception and I’m not sure which to love more – the wild elegance of the forest and field at the park or the upleveled beauty of a backyard wedding. The attention to detail in the backyard was divine and I loved it so much!

The other magical joy of Karen and Zach’s wedding was watching how enthusiastically their family and friends celebrated for and with them. I think that’s the sign of a great couple…and I was so delighted to witness it.
