Rock and Roll Bridal Portraits
As her anniversary gift to herself (brilliant!), Chelsea chose to hire me again for a creative extravaganza that turned into Rock and Roll Bridal Portraits! Take a peek at her wedding day look and you’ll see a very classic bridal look — rhinestones and lace and tulle — while these photos are a sharp juxtaposition and exactly showcase her edgier side — I mean, leather jacket and platform combat boots with a bridal look?! I’m a fan!
Two years ago, I hung out with Chelsea and Nathan on their fantastically perfect Fraser River Lodge wedding day (they had a Monday wedding, a lunch reception, and took time to play guitar with each other in the middle of the celebration!) and to hear her rave about her wedding photos is basically the perfect pick-me-up if I am ever feeling that inevitable self-deprecating discouragement that we creative entrepreneurs often struggle to overcome.
Plus, without the pressures of a wedding day timeline (and without the added complexities of a rainy day :-P), we got to get a little cray cray with the lighting and add another element of edgy fun to her rock and roll bridal portraits.
Chelsea summed it up best when she showcased these photos on her Facebook page: “We STILL haven’t printed our wedding photo album yet ??♀️ so I took advantage of the situation by getting some creative shots of my dress to add to our collection… The shots you don’t get on your wedding day because you’re wearing the most expensive dress you’ve ever owned and you don’t want to walk in the woods and dirt with it. ? Jenni Marie Photography did such a great job with our wedding photos that I asked her to do these as well. We decided to go for a rock n roll bride vibe.”
