Wedding at Tucson Botanical Gardens

A Wedding at Tucson Botanical Gardens is everything you could want for a Tucson wedding day celebration: it’s centrally located inside Tucson, it has desert flora and fauna alongside plants less commonly seen in the desert, and it has the most magical corner for your first dance. Like, seriously. It’s perfect.

When I dreamed of shooting a wedding at Tucson Botanical Gardens, I could never have fully dreamt the decadence and majesty of a desert sunset at the Botanical Gardens. I mean, ever corner was filled with more beauty and every moment was ripe with joy.

See, I love Arizona. Not only is it a stark contrast to my normal Pacific Northwest lushness, it’s also the home to both of my siblings and their ridiculously adorable children.  Any excuse to hang out in the land of adorable nieces and desert sunsets? I’m a fan!

Plus, for this trip I spent four action-packed days working  with local wedding vendors to create three uniquely inspiring wedding sets to feature in my brand-new Tucson Wedding Planning Guide. (If you want to see a print copy of the magazine, go see any of the featured vendors! They have their copies now! =D)

And when the Calla Blanche Dress is this  full of intricate details and so perfectly pair with a veil (both from J. Bridal Boutique), my joy is overflowing!

(Did you know you can get macarons from Whole Foods Market? You can! And they’re delicious!)

Mayfield Florist exceeded all expectations with this bouquet inspired by a desert sunset: so many unique blooms and such much dense color! I am unabashedly a fan of the crew at Mayfield now that I’ve seen their work first-hand!

While I’m gushing, though: CHECK OUT THIS PAPER SUITE!  Lily and Layla Designs is a custom digital invitation designer who sells on Etsy and I’m such a fan of her work!  (She’s a gem, to boot, so that is icing on the cake!)

Remember how I mentioned a magical first dance if you have your wedding at Tucson Botanical Gardens? Here’s the moment.

For best results, time your first dance riiight a dusk when the sun is setting and the twinkle lights are at their brightest. Turn on your song, listen to your guests gasp at the beauty of the moment, and then dip into the fiercest kiss of your wedding day. <3
