Morgan Creek Golf Course Wedding
Jordan and Jillian’s Morgan Creek Golf Course wedding day dawned exactly the way you’d expect for a February day in British Columbia: cloudy with a touch of rain. Noticeable only to the acutely aware, there was also a breeze that would have made windsurfing perfect. The family joked (with the slightest twinge of truth :-P) that Jordan might just have thought about postponing the wedding so that he could head to the waves if it wasn’t for the enormity of his love for Jillian.
A love giddy, delighted, giggly, deep.
The perfect kind of love for the perfect kind of British Columbia day.
After a morning of manicures, a noontime hair appointment at Salon Blue, giggles over makeup, some teary final details, and a few deep breaths, Jillian walked out to her waiting Jordan and all was at last right in the world. Jordan and Jillian had time to revel in their wedding day together, danced on the porch while the rain staccato-ed around them, and admired their respective finery. (‘You clean up goooood,’ was the line of the day.)
The exceptional team helped craft the Morgan Creek Golf Course wedding into a seamlessly elegant day. We had a dedicated room for portraits (kept us mostly out of the rain!), they transformed the ceremony location into the reception hall was intense speed, and the food spread was beautiful!
I, of course, was over-the-moon ecstatically thrilled when Jordan and Jillian were willing to wander around the beautifully manicured Morgan Creek Golf Course lawn . . . even in the rain! We put my Kate Spade umbrella to happy use and the ever-fabulous Tonja was my off-camera-light-holder to help freeze those glorious raindrops mid-flight.
When it came time to party, these guys know how to do it right: the speeches were the perfect combination of tear-jerking sweet and gut-busting funny, the emcee skillfully kept the crowd engaged, and the D.J./lighting production was out of this world phenomenal. (Photos below to prove it: I was in high heaven!)
